Job Description:
Loss Prevention Specialist
In this role you will be responsible for managing and validating the Loss Prevention programs and initiatives aimed at reducing company losses and protecting the company assets. This position will ensure compliance with operational practices designed to prevent, detect and deter fraud. Perform audits identifying internal control issues and variances from standard operational procedures/practices. Responsibilities will include the examination of exception reporting to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable law, ethics and policies as well as conducting investigations into company losses and integrity related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Support business partners in shrink reduction through data analysis and delivery of exception reports that will highlight inventory /cash loss, fraudulent behavior and irregular activity
- Partner with other departments to help create best practices concerning current and future processes where shrink may be negatively impacted or incorrectly recorded
- Self-initiated ad-hoc analysis based on understanding of current business goals/initiatives
- Implement and manage ongoing Awareness Prevention Programs to ensure compliance, communication and execution of “Best Practices” and an overall monetary reduction in losses, safety, and liability expenses
Qualifications:
- College degree (4 year) or equivalent experience and 4+ years experience in retail Loss Prevention.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- High level of initiative and probing nature.
- Knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and relational database structures.
- Advanced Access and Excel skills.
- Loss Prevention background preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High degree of flexibility with complete ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks daily.
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Solid analytical, investigative and interview skills.
- Demonstrate advanced math proficiency, ability to analyze problems and trends.
- Extensive Travel required; 60%+ initially
