Working as a Catering Manager for FLIK will allow you the opportunity to work with GREAT people like yourself! You will be surrounded by people who are passionate about what they do. The Catering Sales Manager will ensure that the Standards of Excellence are met, as determined by the Warrant Conference Center and Flik International.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate commitment to providing food and services of the highest quality and greatest value to our customers, both internal and external.
- Deliver Attentive, Courteous, and Efficient Service with a Smile.
- If you are not serving the customer, You should be serving someone who is.
- Demonstrate through action and attitude the foundation of the FLIK organization: Flexibility, Leadership, Integrity and Knowledge.
- Any other duties assigned within the course of business.
- Apply the principles of sanitation and food handling to minimize the threat of Foodborne illness and comply with Board of Health Regulations.Apply the principles of safety and accident prevention to minimize the occurrence of accidents to ourselves and our clients.
- Understand that we work in a diverse force. Respect and include all Flikers at all times as part of the team.
- Helps guests arrange banquets, luncheons, meetings, weddings, dances and other Social events; obtains pertinent information needed for guest planning.
- Provides guest tours and offers suggestions in effort to sell the merits of the Facilities for the occasion being planned.
- Suggests menu and helps guests plan menu in conjunction with the Executive Chef and/or other culinary personnel.
- Transmits necessary information to, and conducts event planning with, production, serving and set-up crew; arranges for printing of menu and procuring of decorations and entertainment.
- Inspects finished arrangements; may be present to oversee the actual service and greeting of guests.
- Checks special function sheets against room set-up, oversees personnel scheduling for special functions and may help supervise service personnel.
- Handles client complaints.
- Maintains past and potential client files; schedules calls/visits to access on-going needs of prospective clients for catering services.
- Helps guests with parking, entertainment, decorations, audio/visual and any other requirements integral to events being planned.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in hospitality or business required
- Minimum of 1 year of corporate or hotel catering sales experience
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must have great attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Must be able to multi-task and be flexible to change
- Must exhibit client orientated business practices
- Ability to grow catering business
