Job Description:


The primary focus of this position is to lead the Human Resources function for the Boeing national account. The HR Manager will take the lead role in all of the following functional areas: associate relations, labor relations, HR specific training, HR legal requirements and compliance, compensation practices, deployment of HR policies and procedures, associate engagement survey action plan follow up, support the performance management process, assist in the hiring of non-exempt and exempt associates, and managing the labor relations process. The HR Manager will act as the liaison between Eurest, the Union and the HR Department. Specific duties include:

Responsibilities:



  • Acts as Eurest spokesperson for union labor agreement.

  • Administers labor agreement; Advises operating management on disciplinary and contract interpretation issues.

  • Compliance with labor agreement and company rules; to avoid unnecessary litigation.

  • Acts as department advocate in union meetings.

  • Plans, sets objectives, and develops appropriate strategies and tactics to maximize a productive, engaged workforce

  • Upholds the integrity of the labor agreement and management actions.

  • Prepares and presents Department’s position; prepares briefs and other documents for meetings.

  • Objectively coach associates and management through complex and difficult issues. Provide guidance to management on appropriate disciplinary action. Assist with on-site investigations and all grievance processes.

  • Support internal customer survey and associate engagement survey interpretation/feedback process.

  • Attend department manager meetings to increase HR visibility, conduct classroom training, provide assistance and implement HR initiatives.

  • Design and implement human resources tools to support the strategic and tactical HR business plan.

  • Advise leadership team through strategy development relating to Human Resource topics


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years human resources generalist experience required; extensive union experience required.

  • HR experience at a large organization required.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills preferred.

  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills required.
