Position Summary
The Senior Learning & Development Consultant – Program Development is responsible for supporting the learning and development needs of the organization as follows:
- Liaise with business partners and senior management to help identify learning needs and trends within the businesses
- Design/source and implement learning solutions, in-house and third party, and determine modes of delivery, including instructor-led or virtual live, self-directed, eLearning, synchronous online learning or blended learning
- Specifically assigned L&D projects
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop or source programs and materials for the agreed upon learning initiatives that support the L&D Strategic Plan
- Keep L&D programs and L&D related materials current and relevant to the business needs and strategies
- Provide advice and counsel to L&D Program Managers regarding content and mode of delivery within the context and cultural expectations of the Compass One Healthcare businesses; and to other L&D team members on special request or one-off L&D needs
- Serve as liaison between the CHAT Program Manager, operations management teams and senior management; review and provide feedback and ultimately approve CHATs for the Compass SuS businesses
- Manage the planning and execution of onboarding training for new business acquisitions
- Communicate with all levels of management on L&D initiatives
- Lead SME (subject matter experts) project teams in identifying and developing or sourcing content for SuS specific programs/initiatives
- Design and develop training materials and/or job aides
- Oversee piloting, feedback and revisions of L&D programs created
- Keep the greater L&D Team updated on project status as well as business issues that may impact L&D programs and initiatives
- Support and/or step in for the VP, Learning & Development, in key business and executive committee meetings

- Ability to work as an individual, as a leader or in collaboration with others
- Communicate verbally and in writing clearly to all levels of associate; be able to quickly articulate L&D issues and strategy; confident public speaker
- Develop strong business partnerships with colleagues within greater L&D, HR, operational management teams, functional support teams and senior management
- Strong organizational and project management skills
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Understand and follow an appropriate instructional design process, learning analysis and evaluation processes, such as the ADDIE model
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher
- Skilled development tools such as Articulate Storyline
- Have Learning Management System experience
Education, Training, Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and certification or advanced degree in instructional design
- Demonstrate ability to create and implement learning programs of all modes of delivery
