The position of Regional Manager Quality Programs and Standards is to assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of operational-level projects according to deadlines, budgets, and managements expectations. This includes managing the efforts of team members and field personnel as well as executing project tasks as necessary to deliver projects according to plan. The role reports to the Senior Vice President of Operations for FLIK Hospitality and will act as support for District Managers and Regional Vice Presidents. They executes a variety of activities necessary to ensure safety and quality of supplied food and/or beverage products.


Responsibilities:



  • Assist in completing assigned operational projects in all facets

  • Interaction with clients

  • Maintain calendar for Quarterly Business Reviews

  • Manage information flow throughout region

  • Assist in the development of project scope, progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Liaise with management and field personnel on an ongoing basis.

  • Manage assigned operational projects from beginning to end.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to field operations.

  • Continually manage project expectations with team members, field personnel and management.

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and field personnel.

  • Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables effectively.

  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

  • Assist in project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to implement project conclusions / findings.

  • Assist in developing best practices and tools for project execution and management.

  • Leverage field resources and experience for project deliverables.

  • Participate in development of detailed project plans and manage to targeted completion dates.

  • Analyze and monitor master data.

  • Identify and report project or change management issues.

  • Assist in project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to implement project conclusions / findings.

  • Assist in developing best practices and tools for project execution and management.

  • Contributes to execution of supplied product safety and quality programming to support the organization’s goals of operational excellence, customer/client satisfaction, financial performance, market leadership, and preferred employer.

  • Responds to supplied product safety and quality issues, including defect complaints and recalls and other alerts/advisories.

  • Assumes responsibility for a variety of assignments and projects, potentially including: support of company-owned food processing and distribution facility quality assurance programming; technical support of product specification and sourcing; private-label, external sales, and other procurement and business initiatives. Supports both purchasing group (Foodbuy) and Compass programs and projects.

  • Prepares tracking, trending, exception, summary, and other reports associated with supply chain diligence activities and assigned roles and monitoring/measurement responsibilities.

  • Works collaboratively and cooperatively with department Food Safety (Operations Compliance) staff on routine matters, e.g. complaint investigations and recalls, and special projects.

  • Actively and cooperatively participates in team collaboration efforts to improve common workflows, procedures, and tasks to increase efficiency and assure stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Quality Assurance Manager.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree required. Significant related experience in lieu of degree may be considered

  • At least 5 years of directly related experience required, including manufacturing quality control and quality assurance, and auditing.

  • Technical competence and confidence is critical.

  • Must be a strong, persuasive communicator and coach, with the ability to relate to other professionals, peers, and field operators, both technical and non-technical.

  • Strong data management, reporting, and technical writing skills.

  • Multi-task and project management proficiency.

  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work.

  • Analytical thinking is essential.

  • HACCP-certified is required.

  • Working knowledge of food processing and distribution regulations, i.e. FDA and USDA/FSIS, and industry practice.

  • Track record of food safety/QA success in any of the following focus areas a plus: produce, dairy, proteins (meat, poultry, seafood), processed foods, distribution, proprietary/private-label product development and/or monitoring.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn various software and web-enabled programs

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% nationwide.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project environment.

  • Flexible during times of change.

  • Knowledge of SAP accounting and in-unit systems.

  • Proficiency with MS Office programs with an emphasis on Excel

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
