Job Description:


Compass Group, the world’s largest contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth here at its North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC as a Compensation Analyst.


Responsible for analyzing, implementing and administering Compass Group’s compensation programs in accordance with the company’s strategic reward philosophy (ie, base and variable pay programs, relocation plans, and job hierarchies). In this role you will prepare studies and make recommendations to managers on a wide array of base, variable pay, and relocation programs and practices, continuously collaborating with business partners such as Field HR, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management.


Responsibilities:




  • Utilize compensation expertise to provide support for projects such as salary survey participation and analysis, salary planning and administration, and annual budgeting for merit awards.



  • Conducts job evaluations, determines FLSA status, applies appropriate market data, documents findings and recommends job classification levels.



  • Provide analytical support for design/modification, implementation and administration of compensation programs including base pay, bonus plans and relocation plans.



  • Monitors compliance with all compensation-related federal and state regulations including minimum wage requirements and exempt status. Coordinates with HRIS and HR to update systems and provide communications to the field.



  • Compensation liaison with HRIS to ensure systems capture and maintain required data to meet compliance and compensation department requirements.



  • Consult with transferees, business partners and managers on all aspects of compensation and relocation packages for new hires and internal transfers.



  • Prepare regular and ad hoc compensation reports.



  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, emphasis in Human Resources Management preferred or equivalent experience.

  • 1 - 2 years compensation-related experience in a corporate setting strongly preferred

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

  • Experienced user of Excel, Access and other Microsoft applications.

  • Solid presentation skills.

  • SAP experience a plus.

  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification preferred (can be in progress)

  • Hay (or other point-factor) Job Evaluation experience preferred.
