Job Summary:
Director of Finance in Atlanta , GA
Morrison Healthcare is seeking an individual to provide direction and support to the division operations group through information analyses (e.g. actual performance vs. budget and prior year, budget, investment methodology, etc.). Primary responsibilities will include conducting the Divisional Monthly Operations Review, identification of areas
for cost reductions and operational improvements, new business and investment methodologies, annual budget process, and monthly forecasting for the assigned division. Additionally, the director will be responsible for monitoring internal control, and performance metric reporting for the division.
Responsibilities:
Direct the preparation of monthly analysis of revenue, cost of goods sold, labor and operational expenses against prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate any costs or risks at the unit.
Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets.
Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvements and make proposals for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.)
Identify issues with billing, collections and financial processing within the unit and propose mediation.
Provide leadership and direction including KPI definition and measurement to the field finance personnel.
Provide Client facing presentations as needed.
Review and maintain pertinent finance policies and procedures.
Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting Required
MBA or CPA, preferred
Seven plus years of experience in a similar position and experience with operations preferred.
Work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods.
Able to direct and lead a team both onsite and remote; prior management experience preferred.
Strong experience in income statement analysis.
Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP or equivalent, and Business Intelligence, a plus.
Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.
Ability to travel 35%, overnight, to include unit visits and quarterly financial reviews
