The Training Manager II supports and drives in unit training initiatives, managing key operational training events and ensures the training programs identify behavioral changes required and includes personal development suggestions to change behaviors.
Responsibilities:
While performing the responsibilities below, the Training Manager II will work in a safe, professional and ethical manner at all times. Program delivery will require speaking to large, diverse groups and measuring success of trainings.
Training (70%)
- Training Delivery: Facilitate classroom sessions.
- Program Development: Provide primary consultation to Subject Matter Experts on flow, sequencing, and layout of content and participant materials in the classroom environment.
- Producing: Produce and troubleshoot classroom sessions.
- Out of Classroom Training Responsibilities: Manage out of classroom training responsibilities such as grading, communications, logistics, collaborating and negotiating the schedule for Management Development programs with Program Managers.
- Program Evaluation: Evaluate program effectiveness and offer continuous improvement and feedback and make necessary updates.
- Coach and provide feedback to program participants.
Administration (30%)
- Metrics: Run reports and analyze session attendance and usage reports for Program Managers and departmental period reporting.
- Personal: Manage personal administrative functions, including P-Card and expense reports, participation management, and departmental monthly and quarterly reports.
Other Responsibilities:
- Create a Personal Development Plan annually with supervisor.
- Participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.
- Other tasks may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have had communication and training experience of some kind that required day-to-day interaction with customers, problem solving and training program/communications-package development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and WebEx.
- Must have strategic reasoning ability and analytical skills. Must understand the audience learning process and be able to put it into practice in the development and delivery of training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and reasoning skills as well as the ability to work closely with teammates.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and training skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and meet deadlines on time with limited supervision.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and high workload—must be able to adapt to frequent change.
- Strict attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy.

- Ability to learn new software and learning sites quickly.
- Bi-Lingual skills preferred.
- This person must be an upbeat, team player with an understanding of the key roles of being a representative of Lackmann Education and Compass Group.
