The AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center at the University of Texas in Austin is seeking an experienced Outlet Manager to join their team. The four-star facility offers 297 rooms, over 40,000 square feet of meeting and conference space, two full-service restaurants and one conferee dining room. We also offer in-room dining and a poolside grill.
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for operation of the Carillon, our fine dining restaurant, in accordance with the approved budget, while providing the Client with the maximum value for the dollars spent. Ensures that the food offered to the client, customers, and employees of the operation is of superior quality. Maintains excellent relationships with employees, guests and Client as well as other departments within the operation.
Responsibilities:
- Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be conscious of surroundings and understand the expectations of fine dining
- Comprehensive food and wine knowledge
- Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, customers, client and associate
- Able to handle responsibility for ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures-follows HACCP standards
- Proficient computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Associate's Degree preferred
- 2-4 years fine dining restaurant management experience is required
- Comprehensive food and wine knowledge. Applicant should be well versed on food and wine pairings
- Requires operations management experience with purchasing knowledge
- Excellent communication and computer skills are needed, including knowledge of MS Office products
- Servsafe Certified preferred.
