REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT - HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS - NORTHEAST (PA, NY, DE, MD, CT, and MA)
Regional Vice Presidents who work for Crothall Healthcare have the opportunity to access the latest trends in clinical engineering management. With our resources and your expertise in clinical engineering, you will be valued as you go through your day making a difference to our patients, customers, and clients; as well as influencing your regional team towards our region, division and corporate mission.
Due to extensive growth, we are offering this exciting Senior Leadership position which will provide both challenge and satisfaction while allowing you to positively influence a regional team of clinical engineering professionals. As a senior member of our management team you will have the opportunity to plan objectives for your region and ensure management is in compliance with corporate, regional and financial goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for the overall operation, growth and profitability of the region. Your duties will include the management and leadership of Regional Manager and accounts within the Central Region.
Responsibilities:
- Overall P&L accountability for assigned region
- Prepares regional budget. Approves regional and account budgets. Prepares variable budgets for sales and projected overhead increases. Responsible for achieving top and bottom line objectives in regional, area and contract variable and control budgets
- Ensures corporate procedures are installed and operating
- Ensures company and client capital assets are secured and maintained in first class working condition.
- Approves capital requests within budgeted levels
- Ensures contract price adjustments are prepared by Regional Managers promptly
- Responsible for achieving budgeted regional new sales objectives through selling and on services, public bid contracts and own selling
- Coordinates all regional surveys and participates as needed
- Prepares all costing for new contracts and supports new sales proposals
- Responsible for negotiating contract renewals
- Maintains direct contact with hospital administration at least every three months and as needed
- Ensures hospital priorities are defined and met. Attends Joint Review Committee three times per year
- Entertains customers on at least an annual basis
- Meets both company's and client's quality standards. Ensures quality control systems and documentations are maintained
- Recruits and trains Regional Managers. Assists in selection and training of account manager
- Assists Regional and Account Managers to complete certificate programs
- Ensures other subordinate level also complete appropriate programs
- Develops personnel at all subordinate levels
- Negotiates labor disputes with unions assisted by Vice President Human Resources or Director Human Resources
- Assists Vice President Human Resources in negotiating new labor agreements
- Ensures corporate policies and procedures are adhered to in the division
- Responsible for maintaining debtor levels at contracted levels
- Negotiates with hospital on payment terms
- Reports to Senior Vice President on region's activities; including but not limited to, variances from budgets on previous P&L statements, customer relations, quality, recruitment, management needs, management training, contract renegotiations, sales gained by operations (copied home office), debtors, profit projections, losses and unstable accounts and plans
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a Technical discipline or Health Care Administration field, or equivalent degree or equivalent related experience. Master Degree or MBA highly desirable
- Proven experience in successfully managing P&L budgets in Clinical Engineering Departments
- Proven ability to manage a team of six or more director level or above team members - REQUIRED
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience in healthcare clinical engineering departments - REQUIRED
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in multi-unit healthcare support services management - DESIRED
- Experience managing multi-unit clinical engineering departments - REQUIRED
- Strong track record of client or customer satisfaction
- Proven ability in developing and implementing new business models in the healthcare support services markets
- Proven ability to work effectively in an unstructured, fast-paced and P&L driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
- Must be able to successfully complete criminal background checks (State and Federal) and drug screenings
- Extensive travel required in this position
