For over 30 years, Bateman Community Living has been providing healthy, nutritious and flavorful meals for Senior Meal programs, Adult Daycare programs, Head Start programs, Summer Lunch programs, Event catering, Disaster Response programs, and Shelf Stable meal programs across the United States.



Job Description:



We currently seek a General Manager for one of our multi-faceted locations. The ideal candidate will share in our belief in the quality value of delivering superior hospitality to our premier clients.



The successful candidate will be responsible in maintaining established costs and quality standards to ensure superior service and to maximize profits. Requires working independently with direct line to Client. Conduct safety, sanitation and maintenance programs. Maintain excellent relationships with employees, guests and Client. Promote the professional growth and development of the entire team. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to the following:



Responsibilities:




  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws

  • Interviewing, hiring, training and coaching employees and managers

  • Participate in employee meetings and training programs

  • Maintain food cost while ensuring quality standards

  • Manage purchasing and inventory controls

  • Must be knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of food

  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned



Qualifications:




  • Bachelors degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience

  • 5-7 years high volume service experience, including 4 years at the management level

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, flexible and adaptable to constant changes and must possess attention to detail

  • Supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching skills

  • Fleet management experience

  • Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions

  • Food purchasing, food costs and inventory control

  • Ability to create budgets, flash reports, financial targets and forecasts

  • Menu planning in consultation with Chefs

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Exceptional business etiquette and client relations

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
