Summary:


Sr Strategic Project Manager, home office, 60% travel


Project Manager will lead all activities associated with the concept development, design, construction and delivery of capital investment projects representing and coordinating the interests of Morrison Healthcare and our Clients for assigned projects in Client facilities.


Job Description:



  • Leads and is accountable for all aspects of conceptual planning through construction coordination

  • Interfaces with clients to define project requirements and establish project work plan

  • Develops initial construction budgets and schedules; identify all hard and soft costs, establish and implement purchase schedules

  • Develop and issue RFP’s to architects, engineers, specialty consultants, contractors, or vendors as may be required

  • Initiates and administers contracts with necessary design professionals, strategic vendors and contractors to meet project delivery requirements

  • Coordinates acquisition of necessary permits from relevant regulatory departments, municipalities and authorities having jurisdiction

  • Conducts regular progress meetings with design team, contractor and operations to drive process and identify value enhancing opportunities

  • Facilitates Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) progress meetings to monitor progress against schedule and budget

  • Directs communications to and requests engagement of Morrison and Client management as necessary to implement problem solving and decision making

  • Conducts regular site visits to monitor coordination, quality and schedule

  • Facilitates coordination of FF&E designs with overall project documents

  • Monitors and forecasts project costs and remaining budget to ensure final costs are within prescribed budget

  • Review and approval of all invoices and change orders associated with the assigned projects, including tracking and monitoring of project manager time and expense resource commitments

  • Communicates and consults with supervisor about any anticipated project variances in advance to coordinate necessary decisions

  • Manages project team by providing direction and leadership as required to achieve milestones and commitment results

  • Communicates regularly with supervisor and other Morrison management members, about projects status and progress.


Qualifications:



  • Four (4) year Degree required with a focus on building construction, architecture, engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of five (5) years proven track record of management of similar responsibilities

  • Food industry development experience from design through construction preferred

  • Experience managing construction in healthcare environment, Required

  • Knowledge of construction and design process and terminology, understanding of scheduling and project management techniques associated with design and construction in health care environments

  • Strong project management skills coordinating deliverables from multiple team members.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills using

  • Able to communicate effectively with clients and vendors

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in addition to multiple stakeholders, while meeting deadlines

  • High degree of discretion in handling confidential client and company information

  • High degree of attention to detail

  • Assertive, action and results oriented

  • Ability to work independently, initiate and deliver projects

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge and competency using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word PowerPoint and Microsoft Project

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe

  • Capable of traveling 80% of the time to meet with customers and operators
