Job Description:


Compass Group, the world’s largest contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth as a Product Manager of Procurement Systems based in our Alpharetta, GA office supporting our Foodbuy Sector’s systems and other technology initiatives.


The Product Manager for Supply Chain Systems will report to the Director of Procurement Systems and is a pivotal role working between the business and development functions.



  • Works closely with Business Owners to understand and incorporate business needs into functional systems

  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications that can be consumed by development teams

  • Creates specifications that allow development to create software that meets defined needs

  • Oversight of the agile development process, ensure sufficient work has been approved so that development is kept fully tasked


Qualifications



  • 3 to 5 years related product management or product design experience

  • Technical experience in Computer Science or other engineering field, or extensive experience in product design is required

  • Very effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Experience in an agile development environment.

  • Ability to adapt to changes in business direction and efficiently integrate changes to the systems supported.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment

  • Ability to build and manage relationships across a large enterprise

  • Ability to work with all levels of organization
