Job Description:


Compass Group, the world’s leading contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth here at its North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC as the Bank Reconciliation Supervisor - Research in the Bank Reconciliation department.


Essential Job Functions



  • Manage the day to day functions of the Bank Rec Research Team.

  • Assess workload regularly, realigning as needed to ensure proper balance within team.

  • Establish metrics for the team and monitor progress.

  • Prepare weekly analysis and exception communication for Cash and Credit Card accounts.

  • Complete monthly reconciled items reporting to track impact of process improvements and timeliness of resolution for outstanding items.

  • Oversee Bank Reconciliation inbox ensuring that service level agreements are met and questionable items are resolved in a timely fashion.

  • Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Complete monthly write-off analysis.

  • Assist Management with Escalation and Exception Reporting for Senior Management.

  • Liaise with Accounting/Operations/Treasury to identify and develop training initiatives/opportunities and using training tools (webinars) to provide guidance to the Field.

  • Identify and implement process improvements.

  • Provide adhoc reports as requested by management.

  • Analyze monthly exceptions to identify trends in cash (deposit lags, etc) and credit card reporting issues (settlement issues, etc.) to identify high risk locations and provide reporting to Management and Loss Prevention for awareness and possible escalation.


Other Skills/Abilities



  • Strong communication, management and organizational skills

  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of General Ledger Accounts

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment

  • Able to work with Leads/Seniors across multiple disciplines

  • Proficient in Excel (Access and Power Point a plus)

  • Detail oriented with excellent problem solving skills


Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • 4+ years of accounting experience

  • 2+ years of managing associates

  • Banking experience preferred

  • Familiar with ReconArt reconciliation software is desired

  • SAP experience a plus
