Job Description:


Compass Group, the world’s leading contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth at its Levy headquarters in Chicago, IL as a Claims Manager.


Working directly with the Claims Director, this individual will be handling the strategic and technical leadership of the administration of Workers’ Compensation claims for the Central Region of Compass Group USA. This position is accountable for the performance, service quality and over-all management of Workers’ Compensation claims through coordination with Third Party Claims administrators, medical providers, nurses, consultants and attorneys.


Workers Compensation Responsibilities:



  • Strong jurisdictional knowledge and ability to provide oversight for a large portfolio of Compass USA claims in the Central Region

  • Works closely with the Compass Third Party Claims Administrator, nurses, return-to-work coordinators, outside attorneys and the Compass Corporate Safety Team

  • Accountable for the overall service quality and performance of the claims program to include performance of the Compass USA Third Party Administrator

  • Monitors and reports on workers’ compensation claims trends and develops strategies that address injury management

  • Act as a point of contact for jurisdictional expertise and in matters regarding various Corporate Claims programs


Qualifications:



  • 4-year college degree

  • Minimum 5 years claim management and adjusting experience

  • Strong knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation laws in Illinois, Texas, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Oklahoma

  • Strong knowledge of Third Party Administrator practices and Claims Analytics experience in Client facing roles

  • Excellent Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience with the various claims and risk management information systems and tools

  • Ability to communicate effectively and foster good working relationship with a wide variety of staff levels and outside entities

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Proficiency with technology
