Job Description
HR Compliance Lead position available in Charlotte, NC
Responsible for assisting with the oversight of all activities associated with managing policies and procedures which support the Company’s commitment to compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations concerning verification of employment authorization.
This role will also monitor compliance and completion of I-9 employment documentations for all Company associates, as well as provide audit and compliance support to both the Sector and HR Leadership teams –which includes generating I-9 compliance reports and following up individually on all outstanding issues to develop compliant solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance to operators to ensure timely and accurate completion of I-9 documents and related re-verifications.
- Assists the HR Manager with ensuring that efficient and effective processes are in place to drive compliance relating to I9’s and re-verifications.
- Prepares detailed written and verbal customer service responses, ranging from routine to complex, for individual I-9 compliance inquiries.
- Provides guidance to the HR Compliance Reps.
- Generates I-9 compliance reports and follows up individually on all outstanding issues to develop compliant solutions.
- Acquires data from the primary or secondary data sources and maintains compliance databases/data systems.
- Provides support for I-9 audits conducted both internally and externally.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, emphasis in Human Resources Management preferred or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years prior HR Generalist/ HR Analyst experience in a large complex organization.
- Strong analytical skills; can quickly analyze situations and clearly articulate what needs to be done.
- Able to observe trends in data, and to recommend and implement changes to increase compliance.
- Intermediate/Advanced Access and Excel skills. Able to query data and generate basic reports and manipulate data in Excel and Access is required.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and the able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines and customer service response standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer Service Skills
- Excellent working knowledge of I-9 and E-Verify processing, regulations, and penalties for non- compliance is strongly preferred
